This was the dining room before I changed it into my craft room. I remembered only AFTER I had packed away the contents of the china cabinet to take a 'before' picture. I did want to post this as part of my "garage sale tour" though, so here goes.......
The dining table was $10.00, I had to strip, sand, and refinish it. The two chairs on the end are from a garage sale - $10.00 for both - cleaned and re-covered. The two center chairs are hand me downs from my grandmother, re-covered. There were two other chairs not in this picture - $5.00 for both, cleaned and re-covered. The chairs were all re-covered with fabric from a new fabric shower curtain, on clearance, $9.00. The chairs were in 3 sets of two, but were all the same finish so they worked together really well. The china cabinet was $25.00 - delivered! The guy just wanted it out of his garage - no repair needed. The wooden columns were $5.00 each - I had to paint them. This is a great story though - inside one of them was about 15 feet of wedding fabric - which I re-sold at my own sale for $10.00 - so the columns were actually free! The two topiary trees were $5.00 each - with $85.00 price tags still hanging off of each of them. The framed art pieces were all under $2.00 each. The tall candle holder on the right side - 50 cents. The small half table on the right by the window - $10.00, no repair needed. And, the basket of kid books - 10 cents each. |
